Injector Dynamics is proud to sponsor a couple of deserving young boxers.

No sport is free, especially when you are working hard to reach the top levels. Equipment, coaching, travel expenses, licenses...It all costs money and when a kid is doing all the right things, sometimes a little bit of funding is all it takes to get him to the next level.

I'm a big fan of the Chavez Boxing Foundation, and for some time now Pete Chavez has been telling me about a couple of kids that are consistently working hard and doing all the right things.

That means more than just showing up for practice and working out. That means doing well in school, avoiding drugs and alcohol, and just generally working hard to become a strong adult who earns the respect of those around him.

Hearing about these kids was inspiring and reminded me that it's time to give back. For as long as I can remember, there has been someone a little older, and a little higher up the food chain who was willing to help me. Some offered advice, some offered money, others offered knowledge or their endorsement.

If even one of those people hadn't been there, Injector Dynamics would not exist.

So now that I'm a little older and a little higher up the food chain it's time for me to offer some help to a few hard working talented young guys.

Stay tuned as we get this page updated with figter info, videos, fight results, etc.

----Jesus Juarez----

Age - 15

Weight - 135lbs.

Height - 5'9"

Record - 5-2-0

This kid just looks like a fighter doesn't he? His amateur career is starting off well, and more than anything he wants to be a champion. Considering his talent and work ethic, an eventual move to the professional ranks is inevitable.

Jesus lists Alexis Arguello and Pernell Whitaker as his favorite fighters, but lists his father as his hero.

Jesus has great respect for his father whose first hand knowledge of the effects of drugs and alcohol have motivated him to set an example for those around him.

Like father like son, Jesus is already setting an example for the other kids in the gym, and as his career progresses he hopes to be a positive influence on those around him.

Sparring with coach.

Focusing on the task at hand.

----Alfredo Valdivia----

Age - 16

Weight - 132lbs.

Height - 5'6"

Record - First fight coming up this weekend!!!

Few people have the courage to overcome their fears and step into the ring. At the age of 16, Alfredo will show more grit than most adults by stepping into the ring for the first time. This experience will leave him with the understanding that he can overcome his emotions, and this will stick with him for the rest of his life.

Alfredo wants a professional boxing career, but he also understands the benefit of education. While most kids in his neighborhood don't even finish high school, Alfredo already has his eye on college.

Alfredo credits his coach Pete "The Punisher" Chavez with inspring him to compete. The toughness and discipline that Pete teaches will surely help him through college and all other challenges he faces in the future.

Check back soon to see how Alfredo does in his first fight. If all goes well we will have video and pictures!
